Implementation of video games for neurorehabilitation through eye-tracking
The aim of this project is the implementation of a serious videogame for neurorehabilitation, which offers the possibility of being controlled
with the eyes movement and with the mouse.
An eye-tracker has been used (specifically The Eye Tribe).
An eye-tracker is a device that allows recording the eyes movement and knowing where the user has stopped his gaze.
Neurorehabilitation is a hard task and requires time. Due to this, a funny and easy game has been developed. After evaluating several games, the Break Out was selected.
Break Out is a classic game from Atari that accomplishes with the mentioned requirements.
The used technology was Unity, a cross-plataform game engine which offers countless functionalities that makes easier the development of videogames.
This project has been developed in collaboration with the Neurochemistry and Neuroimaging Group of the University of La Laguna,
which will be the final users of the designed game.
